UPDATED! Spring Cleaning in New Haven
***UPDATE | MAY 6, 2011***
The May 7th event on the New Haven Green has been postponed. Instead, the two events will be rolled into one Spring Cleaning bonanza to be held Saturday May 14, 2011.

The Town Green District seeks volunteers for two community clean-up efforts during May! Come out to clean up your community, meet your neighbors and help keep New Haven beautiful.
The New Haven Green
Saturday May 7th from 9am to 1pm.
Volunteers Needed For:
Painting the fence that bounds the lower Green
General clean-up and litter removal
Decorating/painting of all trash receptacles
General clean-up and litter removal

Union Avenue
Saturday May 14th from 9am to 1 pm.
Volunteers Needed For:
General litter cleanup
Planting a garden on the overpass embankment
Re-applying directional signage to the sidewalk

Benefits include being an active participant in your community, getting some fresh air and spending some time with your neighbors/friends/significant others/coworkers.
