Happening in Your Hood
Recently launched in beta, GatheringPoint allows you to explore what's happening in your neighborhood from several resources ranging from YouTube to Wikipedia. And today they just added SeeClickFix to the site!
Back in late February, ChromeAdvisor reviewed GatheringPoint and nicely summarized the new app:
It's called GatheringPoint, and is basically an App that mashes up a Google map of a city or location that you specify with numerous different types of useful information all plotted based on their location.
Based on your specific interests, this plotting can be altered whenever you want. If you're craving some delicious pizza , you can easily search for nearby restaurants via Yelp. Or if environmental concerns pique your interest, an entire section focuses on air quality alerts and water monitoring.
